According to latest rankings released by WTA on Monday the Indian ace Sania Mirza became the first Indian woman tennis player to be ranked 1st in doubles.
Sania Mirza won The family cup recently with Martina Hingis which was their 3rd title in a row. Sania earned 470 points from the title win which makes her total 7660 points and enough to dethrone Italy's Sara Errani having 7640 points.
Sania with Hingis are unbeaten since they paired up and won 14 matches back to back in which they lost only 3 set which is tremendous performance by the duo. Now fans sure wanted to see them with Grandslam trophy in this year.
Leander paes and Bhupathi also attained the top ranking in their carriers. But Sania became the first woman who also attained Highest 27 ranking in single in 2007 have suffered lot injuries in her carrier so it great achievement to her. Congratulations and best luck for future to Sania Mirza.
