  Director Dibakar Banerjee is busy with many projects and waiting for the release of Detective Byomkesh Bakshy which is going to hit the big screens on April 3, 2015. The latest we heard that Dibakar is planning to shoot a sequel even before release of Detective Byomkesh Bakshy.

  The filmmaker said, "I am very interested in making 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! 2' because in this film, it's the detective's his first case. If this film is a success, then I want to make one more and show the audience a new adventure of Byomkesh,".

  

  Director said that this film is set under the backdrop of Saradindu Bandyopadhyay’s creativity, who happens to be Bengali writer. This film casts Sushant Singh Rajput in a vital role.

  He also said that this film is nowhere similar as "Byomkesh Bakshi" TV show. "That was a TV serial, and that works differently. A film takes you to a different world."
