    Three fresh swine flu deaths in Telangana: 25 dead so far

    Three more deaths from swine flu have been reported in Telangana, taking the total number of deaths due to the H1N1 virus this month to 16 in the state, senior official said that here today. With this, the total number of deaths during this season from December last increased to 25, Director of state run Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) L. Narendranath told reporters.

    He further said 1,156 samples have been tested for the swine flu so far and 414 have turned out to be positive. Replying to query, he said the government has made sufficient stocks of medicines available to treat the swine flu patients. Medical care is being taken in the state as per WHO guidelines, he said. Some cases from other states like Rajasthan and Karnataka have also been tested in Hyderabad, he said.
