Actress Shilpa Shetty, who turned 38 on Saturday, has received “apologies” from her husband Raj Kundra, who has been questioned in the IPL betting scandal.
Businessman Kundra, a British national, and Shilpa are co-owners of Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals. The “truth” in the case will come out soon, Raj conveyed to Shilpa in a tweet.
“Wishing my gorgeous wife Shilpa Shetty a very happy birthday. Apologies for all this nonsense you have had to deal with. Truth is coming out,” Kundra posted on the micro-blogging site.
Kundra also sent out a thank you message to megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who wished Shilpa, on Twitter too.
“Thank you sir. Your message on Shilpa’s birthday gives her a smile that no other message can. It always means a lot to her,” Kundra posted in response to Big B’s wish.
Shilpa married Kundra in 2009. They have a son Viaan, who turned one May 21.
Kundra was questioned Wednesday by the Delhi Police in connection with the Indian Premier League (IPL) betting scandal.
Delhi Police has arrested 26 people in the IPL spot fixing case, including Rajasthan Royals players Sreesanth, Chandila and Chavan.
